1 Corinthians 15:12-13.

"Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen." God bless you.

Micah 7:1-20

Micah 7:1-20 (Good News Translation) 1It's hopeless! I am like a hungry person who finds no fruit left on the trees and no grapes on the vines. All the grapes and all the tasty figs have been picked. 2There is not an honest person left in the land, no one loyal to God. Everyone is waiting for a chance to commit murder. Everyone hunts down their own people. 3They are all experts at doing evil. Officials and judges ask for bribes. The influential people tell them what they want, and so they scheme together. 4Even the best and most honest of them are as worthless as weeds.  The day has come when God will punish the people, as he warned them through their watchmen, the prophets. Now they are in confusion. 5Don't believe your neighbor or trust your friend. Be careful what you say even to your husband or wife. 6In these times sons treat their fathers like fools, daughters oppose their mothers, and young women quarrel with their mothers-in-law; your enemies are the members of

3 John 1-4.

"The Elder, To the beloved Gaius, whom I love in truth: Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in heath, just as your soul prospers. For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth." God bless you.

Revelation 6:9-11.

"When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held. And the cried with a loud voice, saying, 'How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?' Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed." God bless you.

Acts 4:1-4.

"Now as they spoke to the people, the priests, the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees came upon them, being greatly disturbed that they taught the people and preached in Jesus the resurrection from the dead. And they laid hands on them, and put them in custody until the next day, for it was already evening. However, many of those who heard the word believed; and the number of the men came to about five thousand." God bless you.

Acts 2:1-4.

"When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Acts 1:1-3.

"The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen, to whom He also presented Himself alive after His sufferings by many infallable proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of things pertaining to the Kingdom of God."   God bless you.

Mark 16:3-7.

"And they said among themselves, 'Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?' But when they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away-for it was very large. And entering the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a long white robe sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed. But he said to them, 'Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the pace where they laid Him. But go- tell His disciples-and Peter- that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as h said to you.'"   He is risen. God bless you.

Mark 15:37-39.

"And Jesus cried out with a loud voice, and breathed His last. Then the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. So the centurion, who stood opposite Him, saw that He cried out like this and breathed His last, he said, truly this Man was the Son of God!'" Jesus cried out with a loud voice, and breathed His last.

Mark 15:21-25.

"Then they compelled a certain man, Simon a Cyrenian, the father of Alexander and Rufus, as he was coming out of the country and passing by, to bear His cross. And they brought Him to the place Golgotha, which is translated, Place of the Skull. Then they gave Him wine mingled with myrrh to drink, but He did not take it.And when they crucified Him the divided His garments, casting lots for them to determine what every man should take. Now it was the third hour, and the crucified Him" God bless you.

Isaiah 61:1-11.

Isaiah 61:1-11 (Good News Translation) 1The Sovereign LORD has filled me with his Spirit. He has chosen me and sent me To bring good news to the poor, To heal the broken-hearted, To announce release to captives And freedom to those in prison. 2He has sent me to proclaim That the time has come When the LORD will save his people And defeat their enemies. He has sent me to comfort all who mourn, 3To give to those who mourn in Zion Joy and gladness instead of grief, A song of praise instead of sorrow. They will be like trees That the LORD himself has planted. They will all do what is right, And God will be praised for what he has done. 4They will rebuild cities that have long been in ruins. 5My people, foreigners will serve you. They will take care of your flocks And farm your land and tend your vineyards. 6And you will be known as the priests of the LORD, The servants of our God. You will enjoy the wealth of the nations And be proud that it is yours. 7Your shame and

Isaiah 59:1-21.

Isaiah 59:1-21 (Good News Translation) 1Don't think that the LORD is too weak to save you or too deaf to hear your call for help! 2It is because of your sins that he doesn't hear you. It is your sins that separate you from God when you try to worship him. 3You are guilty of lying, violence, and murder. 4You go to court, but you do not have justice on your side. You depend on lies to win your case. You carry out your plans to hurt others. 5-6The evil plots you make are as deadly as the eggs of a poisonous snake. Crush an egg, out comes a snake! But your plots will do you no good—they are as useless as clothing made of cobwebs! 7You are always planning something evil, and you can hardly wait to do it. You never hesitate to murder innocent people. You leave ruin and destruction wherever you go, 8and no one is safe when you are around. Everything you do is unjust. You follow a crooked path, and no one who walks that path will ever be safe. 9The people say, Now we know why G

Mark 14:43-50.

"And immediately, while He was still speaking, Judas, one of the twelve, with a great multitude with swords and clubs, came from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders. Now His betrayer had given them a signal, saying, 'Whomever I kiss, He is the One; seize Him and lead Him away safely.' As soon as he had come, immediately he went up to Him and said to Him, 'Rabbi, Rabbi!' and kissed Him. Then the laid their hands on Him and took Him. And one of those who stood by drew his sword and struck the servent of the high priest, and cut off his ear. Then Jesus answered and said to them, 'Have you come out, as against a robber, with swords and clubs? I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and you did not seize Me. But the Scriptures must be fulfilled.' Then they all forsook Him and fled."   Judas, one of the twelve, with a great multitude with swords and clubs, came from the chief priests, and the scribes and the elders. Now His betrayer had

"And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed it and broke it, and gave it to them and said, 'Take, eat; this is My body.' Then He took the cup, and when He had given thanks He gave it to them, and they all drank from it. And He said to them, 'This is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many. Assuredly, I say to you, I will no longer drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.' And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives." Jesus took bread, blessed it and broke it, and gave it to them and said, "Take, eat; this is My body." Then he took the cup, and when He had given thanks He had gave it to them, and they drank from it. Jesus said, This is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many." Go bless you.

Isaiah 57:1-21.

Isaiah 57:1-21 1Good people die, and no one understands or even cares. But when they die, no calamity can hurt them. 2Those who live good lives find peace and rest in death. 3Come here to be judged, you sinners! You are no better than sorcerers, adulterers, and prostitutes. 4Who are you making fun of Who are you liars jeering at? 5You worship the fertility gods by having sex under those sacred trees of yours. You offer your children as sacrifices in the rocky caves near stream beds. 6You take smooth stones from there and worship them as gods. You pour out wine as offerings to them and bring them grain offerings. Do you think I am pleased with all this? 7You go to the high mountains to offer sacrifices and have sex. 8You set up your obscene idols just inside your front doors. You forsake me; you take off your clothes and climb in your large beds with your lovers, whom you pay to sleep with you. And there you satisfy your lust. 9You put on your perfumes and ointments and go

Isaiah 28:1-29.

Isaiah 28:1-29 (Good News Translation) 1The kingdom of Israel is doomed! Its glory is fading like the crowns of flowers on the heads of its drunken leaders. Their proud heads are well perfumed, but there they lie, dead drunk. 2The Lord has someone strong and powerful ready to attack them, someone who will come like a hailstorm, like a torrent of rain, like a rushing, overpowering flood, and will overwhelm the land. 3The pride of those drunken leaders will be trampled underfoot. 4The fading glory of those proud leaders will disappear like the first figs of the season, picked and eaten as soon as they are ripe. 5A day is coming when the LORD Almighty will be like a glorious crown of flowers for his people who survive. 6He will give a sense of justice to those who serve as judges, and courage to those who defend the city gates from attack. 7Even the prophets and the priests are so drunk that they stagger. They have drunk so much wine and liquor that they stumble in confusion.

Mark 14:1-2.

"After two days it was the feast of the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. And the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take Him by trickery and put Him to death. But the said, 'Not during the feast, lest there be an uproar of the people.'" God bless you.

Jeremiah 23:9-40.

Jeremiah 23:9-40 (Good News Translation) 9My heart is crushed, and I am trembling. Because of the LORD, because of his holy words, I am like a man who is drunk, someone who has had too much wine. 10The land is full of people unfaithful to the LORD; they live wicked lives and misuse their power. Because of the LORD's curse the land mourns and the pastures are dry. 11The LORD says, The prophets and the priests are godless; I have caught them doing evil in the Temple itself. 12The paths they follow will be slippery and dark; I will make them stumble and fall. I am going to bring disaster on them; the time of their punishment is coming. I, the LORD, have spoken. 13I have seen the sin of Samaria's prophets: they have spoken in the name of Baal and have led my people astray. 14But I have seen the prophets in Jerusalem do even worse: they commit adultery and tell lies; they help people to do wrong, so that no one stops doing what is evil. To me they are all as

Mark 1:29-31.

"Now as soon as they had come out of the synagogue, the entered the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. But Simon's wife's mother lay sick with a fever, and they told Him about her at once. So He came and took her by the hand and lifted her up, and immediately the fever left her. And she served them."   God bless you.

Mark 1:21-28.

"Then they went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath He entered the synagogue and taught. And they were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. Now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, saying, 'Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Di you come to destroy us? I know who you are-the Holy One of God!' But Jesus rebuked him, saying, 'Be quiet, and come out of him!' And when the unclean spirit had convulsed him and cried out with a loud voice, he come out of him. Then they were all amazed, so that the questeioned among themselves, saying, 'What is this? What new doctrine is this? For with authority He commands even unclean spirits, and they obey Him.' And immediately His fame spread throughout all the region around Galilee."   God bless you.

Mark 1:16-20.

"As He walked by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net intyo the sea; foe they were fishermen. Then Jesus said to them, 'Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.' They immediately left their nets and followed Him. When He had gone a little further from there, He saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the boat mending their nets. And immediately He called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servents, and went after Him."   God bless you.

Jeremiah 22:24-23:8.

Jeremiah 22:24--23:8 (Good News Translation) 24The LORD said to King Jehoiachin, son of King Jehoiakim of Judah, As surely as I am the living God, even if you were the signet ring on my right hand, I would pull you off 25and give you to people you are afraid of, people who want to kill you. I will give you to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylonia and his soldiers. 26I am going to force you and your mother into exile. You will go to a country where neither of you was born, and both of you will die there. 27You will long to see this country again, but you will never return. 28I said, Has King Jehoiachin become like a broken jar that is thrown away and that no one wants? Is that why he and his children have been taken into exile to a land they know nothing about? 29O land, land, land! Listen to what the LORD has said: 30This man is condemned to lose his children, to be a man who will never succeed. He will have no descendants who will rule in Judah as David's successors. I, the LORD, h

"Immediately the Spirit drove Him into the wilderness. And He was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts; and angels ministered to Him. Jeremiah 22:1-23.

Jeremiah 22:1-23 (Good News Translation)  1-2The LORD told me to go to the palace of the king of Judah, the descendant of David, and there tell the king, his officials, and the people of Jerusalem to listen to what the LORD had said: 3I, the LORD, command you to do what is just and right. Protect the person who is being cheated from the one who is cheating him. Do not mistreat or oppress aliens, orphans, or widows; and do not kill innocent people in this holy place. 4If you really do as I have commanded, then David's descendants will continue to be kings. And they, together with their officials and their people, will continue to pass through the gates of this palace in chariots and on horses. 5But if you do not obey my commands, then I swear to you that this palace will fall into ruins. I, the LORD, have spoken. 6To me, Judah's royal palace is as beautiful as the land of Gilead and as the Lebanon Mountains; but I will make it a desolate place where no one lives. 7I am send

Mark 1:9-11.

"It came to pass in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan. And immediately, coming up from the water, He saw the heavens parting and the Spirit descending upon Him like a dove. Then a voice came from heaven, 'You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.'"   God bless you.

Mark 1:1-8

"The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. As it is written in the Prophets: 'Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, Who will prepare Your way before You. The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the LORD; Make his paths straight.' John came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. Then all of the land of Judea, and those from Jerusalem, went out to him and were all baptized by him in the Jordan River, confessing their sins. Now John was clothed with camel's hair and with a leather belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey. And He preached, saying, 'There comes One after me who is mightier than I, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to stoop down and loose. I indeed baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.'"   God bless you.

Job 35:1-16

Job 35:1-16 (Good News Translation)  1-2It is not right, Job, for you to say that you are innocent in God's sight, 3or to ask God, How does my sin affect you? What have I gained by not sinning? 4I am going to answer you and your friends too. 5Look at the sky! See how high the clouds are! 6If you sin, that does no harm to God. If you do wrong many times, does that affect him? 7Do you help God by being so righteous? There is nothing God needs from you. 8Others suffer from your sins, and the good you do helps them. 9When people are oppressed, they groan; they cry for someone to save them. 10But they don't turn to God, their Creator, who gives them hope in their darkest hours. 11They don't turn to God, who makes us wise, wiser than any animal or bird. 12They cry for help, but God doesn't answer, for they are proud and evil. 13It is useless for them to cry out; Almighty God does not see or hear them. 14Job, you say you can't see God; but wait patiently—your case is

Job 34:1-37

Job 34:1-37 (Good News Translation) 1-2You men are so wise, so clever; listen now to what I am saying. 3You know good food when you taste it, but not wise words when you hear them. 4It is up to us to decide the case. 5Job claims that he is innocent, that God refuses to give him justice. 6He asks, How could I lie and say I am wrong? I am fatally wounded, but I am sinless. 7Have you ever seen anyone like this man Job? He never shows respect for God. 8He likes the company of evil people and goes around with sinners. 9He says that it never does any good to try to follow God's will. 10Listen to me, you men who understand! Will Almighty God do what is wrong? 11He rewards people for what they do and treats them as they deserve. 12Almighty God does not do evil; he is never unjust to anyone. 13Did God get his power from someone else? Did someone put him in charge of the world? 14If God took back the breath of life, 15then everyone living would die and turn into dust again. 16Now listen

Job 33:1-33

Job 33:1-33 (Good News Translation) 1And now, Job, listen carefully to all that I have to say. 2I am ready to say what's on my mind. 3All my words are sincere, and I am speaking the truth. 4God's spirit made me and gave me life. 5Answer me if you can. Prepare your arguments. 6You and I are the same in God's sight, both of us were formed from clay. 7So you have no reason to fear me; I will not overpower you. 8Now this is what I heard you say: 9I am not guilty; I have done nothing wrong. I am innocent and free from sin. 10But God finds excuses for attacking me and treats me like an enemy. 11He binds chains on my feet; he watches every move I make. 12But I tell you, Job, you are wrong. God is greater than any human being. 13Why do you accuse God of never answering our complaints? 14Although God speaks again and again, no one pays attention to what he says. 15At night when people are asleep, God speaks in dreams and visions. 16He makes them listen to what he says, and the

Zephaniah 3:1-20.

Zephaniah 3:1-20 (Good News Translation) 1Jerusalem is doomed, that corrupt, rebellious city that oppresses its own people. 2It has not listened to the LORD or accepted his discipline. It has not put its trust in the LORD or asked for his help. 3Its officials are like roaring lions; its judges are like hungry wolves, too greedy to leave a bone until morning. 4The prophets are irresponsible and treacherous; the priests defile what is sacred, and twist the law of God to their own advantage. 5But the LORD is still in the city; he does what is right and never what is wrong. Every morning without fail, he brings justice to his people. And yet the unrighteous people there keep on doing wrong and are not ashamed. 6The LORD says, I have wiped out whole nations; I have destroyed their cities and left their walls and towers in ruins. The cities are deserted; the streets are empty—no one is left. 7I thought that then my people would have reverence for me and accept my discipline, that they w

Amos 5:1-27.

Amos 5:1-27 (Good News Translation) 1Listen, people of Israel, to this funeral song which I sing over you: 2Virgin Israel has fallen, Never to rise again! She lies abandoned on the ground, And no one helps her up. 3The Sovereign LORD says, A city in Israel sends out a thousand soldiers, but only a hundred return; another city sends out a hundred, but only ten come back. 4The LORD says to the people of Israel, Come to me, and you will live. 5Do not go to Beersheba to worship. Do not try to find me at Bethel—Bethel will come to nothing. Do not go to Gilgal—her people are doomed to exile. 6Go to the LORD, and you will live. If you do not go, he will sweep down like fire on the people of Israel. The fire will burn up the people of Bethel, and no one will be able to put it out. 7You are doomed, you that twist justice and cheat people out of their rights! 8The LORD made the stars, the Pleiades and Orion. He turns darkness into daylight and day into night. He calls for the waters of the

Psalm 113

Psalm 113 (Good News Translation) 1Praise the LORD! You servants of the LORD, praise his name! 2May his name be praised, now and forever. 3From the east to the west praise the name of the LORD! 4The LORD rules over all nations; his glory is above the heavens. 5There is no one like the LORD our God. He lives in the heights above, 6but he bends down to see the heavens and the earth. 7He raises the poor from the dust; he lifts the needy from their misery 8and makes them companions of princes, the princes of his people. 9He honors the childless wife in her home; he makes her happy by giving her children. Praise the LORD!   God bless you.

Psalm 85.

Psalm 85 (Good News Translation)   1LORD, you have been merciful to your land; you have made Israel prosperous again. 2You have forgiven your people's sins and pardoned all their wrongs. 3You stopped being angry with them and held back your furious rage. 4Bring us back, O God our savior, and stop being displeased with us! 5Will you be angry with us forever? Will your anger never cease? 6Make us strong again, and we, your people, will praise you. 7Show us your constant love, O LORD, and give us your saving help. 8I am listening to what the LORD God is saying; he promises peace to us, his own people, if we do not go back to our foolish ways. 9Surely he is ready to save those who honor him, and his saving presence will remain in our land. 10Love and faithfulness will meet; righteousness and peace will embrace. 11Human loyalty will reach up from the earth, and God's righteousness will look down from heaven. 12The LORD will make us prosperous, and our land will produce rich harv

Psalm 9 (Good News Translation) 1I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the wonderful things you have done. 2I will sing with joy because of you. I will sing praise to you, Almighty God. 3My enemies turn back when you appear; they fall down and die. 4You are fair and honest in your judgments, and you have judged in my favor. 5You have condemned the heathen and destroyed the wicked; they will be remembered no more. 6Our enemies are finished forever; you have destroyed their cities, and they are completely forgotten. 7But the LORD is king forever; he has set up his throne for judgment. 8He rules the world with righteousness; he judges the nations with justice. 9The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a place of safety in times of trouble. 10Those who know you, LORD, will trust you; you do not abandon anyone who comes to you. 11Sing praise to the LORD, who rules in Zion! 1 Corinthians 11:17-34 (Good News Translation) 17the following instructions, however, I do not praise you, because your meetings for worship actually do more harm than good. 18In the first place, I have been told that there are opposing groups in your meetings; and this I believe is partly true. ( 19No doubt there must be divisions among you so that the ones who are in the right may be clearly seen.) 20When you meet together as a group, it is not the Lord's Supper that you eat. 21For as you eat, you each go ahead with your own meal, so that some are hungry while others get drunk. 22Don't you have your own homes in which to eat and drink? Or would you rather despise the church of God and put to shame the people who are in need? What do you expect me to say to you about this? Shall I praise you? Of course I don't! 23For I received from the Lord the teaching that I passed on to you: that the Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took a piece of bread, 24gave thanks t

Habakkuk 3:1-19

Habakkuk 3:1-19 (Good News Translation) 1This is a prayer of the prophet Habakkuk: 2O LORD, I have heard of what you have done, and I am filled with awe. Now do again in our times the great deeds you used to do. Be merciful, even when you are angry. 3God is coming again from Edom; the holy God is coming from the hills of Paran. His splendor covers the heavens, and the earth is full of his praise. 4He comes with the brightness of lightning; light flashes from his hand, there where his power is hidden. 5He sends disease before him and commands death to follow him. 6When he stops, the earth shakes; at his glance the nations tremble. The eternal mountains are shattered; the everlasting hills sink down, the hills where he walked in ancient times. 7I saw the people of Cushan afraid and the people of Midian tremble. 8Was it the rivers that made you angry, LORD? Was it the sea that made you furious? You rode upon the clouds; the storm cloud was your chariot, as you brou

Habakkuk 2:1-20

Habakkuk 2:1-20 (Good News Translation) 1I will climb my watchtower and wait to see what the LORD will tell me to say and what answer he will give to my complaint. 2The LORD gave me this answer: Write down clearly on tablets what I reveal to you, so that it can be read at a glance. 3Put it in writing, because it is not yet time for it to come true. But the time is coming quickly, and what I show you will come true. It may seem slow in coming, but wait for it; it will certainly take place, and it will not be delayed. 4And this is the message: Those who are evil will not survive, but those who are righteous will live because they are faithful to God. 5Wealth is deceitful. Greedy people are proud and restless—like death itself they are never satisfied. That is why they conquer nation after nation for themselves. 6The conquered people will taunt their conquerors and show their scorn for them.
